Jamie Wylde is a qualified Podiatrist and founder of FootPlus Podiatry & Chiropody.

Graduating with a first class honours degree from The University of Huddersfield he has also gained a degree in Sports Science at The University of Sunderland. Jamie has experience of working both in the Public sector (NHS) and within the private sector.

FootPlus specialises in the examination, treatment and advice on conditions associated with the foot, ankle and lower leg.

We provide effective treatment in your own home, at your convenience. Home visits are available evenings and weekends, with discounts available for multiple bookings in one location.

Our Home Visit service extends from Calderdale (Ripponden & Sowerby Bridge) to Saddleworth and Littleborough. Footplus also offers services tailored for clients in residential and sheltered accommodation. We treat all Podiatric problems including:

Hi, I’m Jamie, a fully qualified Podiatrist. I graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a first class degree and have years of experience working in both the public sector (NHS setting) and within the private sector.

Special interest in Foot Biomechanics

I offer all aspects of Podiatry including biomechanics (the function of the foot and ankle and associated problems).

An lifelong participant in sports and exercise I have had my fair share of foot and ankle injuries. The subsequent treatment and a successful recovery became a major driving force in my early interest in Podiatry. Having already studied Sports Science at the University of Sunderland I pursued a degree in Podiatry a career in a field I am passionate about.

I am a member of (and fully insured through) the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and fully checked by the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service (Formerly CRB, Criminal Records Bureau). All certificates and registration can be provided upon request.

Podiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. We specialise in the treatment of common foot problems such as ingrown toenails and bunions.

A biomechanical assessment and gait analysis is a visual way of establishing foot abnormalities. From an initial examination we can advise, and prescribe, an appropriate treatment plan.
